Application of hydrological methods and approaches to forecasting forest fires risks in the Amur-river basin (an overview)

The author offers a brief review of publications by Russian scientists, which characterizes a current state of research in the field of long-term forecasting of natural phenomena and processes that depend on the weather: hydrological phenomena on rivers of the Amur basin, and conditions for the emergence of fire risks in the forests of the Amur region. The author also pays his attention to the analysis of new research results obtained in that direction in recent years. They would promote acceleration of these important problems solution in the future.
