There presented current status and the future trends of the nanotechnologies. Using the nanopowders of high-strength refractory chemical compounds (nitrides, borides, carbides, etc.) for increasing the physics-mechanical and operating characteristics of factory-made goods made of different metals and alloys by different methods is described.
