Opium withdrawal syndrome (withdrawal syndrome) develops 6-24 hours after the last drug use and is the main barrier to overcoming addiction. The time of development of the syndrome depends on the type of drug used (for example, with methadone abuse, the delayed nature of withdrawal syndrome is noted), as well as on the presence of substances that prolong and enhance the psychotropic effect of opioids (tropicamide). Patients, as a rule, do not hide a conscious, often irresistible attraction to the drug. They are often uncontrollable, aggressive, able to cancel the largest number of offenses, and the risk of suicide increases. Withdrawal disorders with opioid use reach their maximum severity on 2-3 days, and their duration depends on the type of drug, the duration of the disease, and the treatment being carried out. Withdrawal disorders in heroin addiction in treatment conditions rarely last more than 7-10 days.
