Application of composite materials to improve the efficiency of wells equipped with well sucker-rod pumps

This paper deals with the application of composite materials to improve the efficiency of the pump rods, analyzes the performance qualities of composite rods available on the market, their advantages in comparison with standard steel pumping rods, advantages and disadvantages of replacing part of the arrangement with composite rods. The efficiency of composite pump rods implementation is evaluated on the basis of the results of pilot tests conducted at the fields of PJSC “Rosneft”.
