Application of Artifi cial Intelligence Mechanisms as a Method of Crime Prevention

This article examines and explores the problematic aspects that arise in investigative practice during the investigation of various types of crimes that are quite relevant at the present stage of the development of civil society in the Russian Federation. Ensuring the protection of the rule of law and maintaining law and order are the key priorities of our country, which is on the path of deep economic reforms, which therefore requires the uninterrupted and active work of law enforcement agencies. The use of information and telecommunication technologies in the modern life of the civilian population naturally makes it possible to promote scientific and technological progress, but at the same time, representatives of the criminal sphere also have the opportunity to use modern technologies in their activities. Special attention in the provisions of this article is paid to the use of artificial intelligence technologies aimed at preventing potential criminal acts. Specific examples of existing mechanisms are given, with an emphasis on their functional purpose.
