The author examines the unresolved issues concerning the application of measures of state protection to members of the covert investigative measures and persons providing confidential assistance in their preparation and conduct. In particular, the possibility of preventive application of measures of state protection, in cases when there was a possibility of post-impact, but still held address a real threat of Commission of crimes against such persons.
