Application of the "alpha-processing method" to increase the vertical resolution of density technique

This paper presents an Alpha-processing technique that improves the vertical resolution of density logs and corrects for borehole effects by combining two (or more) sensors. The challenge is to find the best way to combine the measurements of the two sensors to obtain the maximum vertical resolution. It is also worth noting that since the measurement points of the sensors may not match in depth, it is important to consider the appropriate correction required for optimal matching. The paper presents a result demonstrating the success of the proposed method.
