Application of Chomsky method in structural modelling and creation of aircraft maintenance staffing

The author examines the activities of modern aviation technical centers, which offer such services as after-sales maintenance of aviation equipment. The peculiarity of their activity is that they have quite a complex production structure. Highly qualified technical specialists of different specialties are necessary for maintenance of their production planning systems. The peculiarity of operational aircraft maintenance enterprises is the singularity of production processes, namely: planning, execution, monitoring and making adjustments. These four stages of the maintenance cycle must take into account such factors as flight schedules, maintenance time, the need to perform various revisions to the directives of the regulations, making changes in the complete cycle of the enterprise processes. In this article the author for the first time proposes a structural modeling method for an aviation technical center specializing in after-sales maintenance of aircraft and aviation equipment, based on the Chomsky generative grammar method. The proposed method can serve as the basis for programming the processes of planning the production of maintenance of aviation equipment, the operational redistribution of engineering and technical personnel of departments within the enterprise without changing the staffing of production shops and to determine with high accuracy the required number of technical personnel for the designed structures of departments.
