Application of polymeric materials for medical purposes

The article describes the use of various polymers and composites to solve problems related to the problems of manufacturing products for medical needs. The most important criterion for the use of polymers for medical purposes is their biodegradability, the ability to release drugs in a controlled manner, do not cause inflammation and allergic reactions, and have a low cost. The properties and application of biodegradable polymers are considered: polylactide-co-glycolide, phosphorylcholine, polyglycolide, chitosan.
