Use of the placer method in soil mineralogy

In the paper, the experience of using the placer method in soil mineralogy is described by the author. It is shown that after washing in a gold tray soil samples from mineral horizons of the soil profile (the samples mass up to 10 kg) the enrichment process takes place, and it becomes possible to identify rare minerals in the resulting concentrates (heavy fractions) which have an important soil-genetic value.
