An example of nominative self-sustainability of a dictionary term as a concept in the field of information technology

It is noted that the use of scientifically based concepts is prerequisite to successful work in the modern information environment. Based on the review of literature in which the word collocation «knowledge management» is used, the article discusses the problem of validity of its employment. The two-stage research has been conducted to corroborate the grammatical correctness and semantic validity of the word collocation discussed. On the basis of a deductive-nomological model by way of consecutive solving of problems driven by cause-and-effect relations, evidence in favor of the dictionary term «knowledge management» as a concept has been obtained.
