Resume: Cerebral palsy covers several different symptom complexes with similar manifestations and causes of occurrence: development in the perinatal period, connection with organic damage to the structures of the brain and / or spinal cord, the presence of disorders of voluntary muscle and motor activity, chronic and non-progressive course. There is a concept of "false progression", when, as a sick child grows, his condition worsens. This is due to the fact that the brain grows, its functions develop, and previously hidden pathological changes in its tissues become apparent. The reason for the "false progression" can also be secondary complications: epilepsy, hemorrhage, development of contractures.
