In this paper we study some aspects of industrial development in the Republic of Karakalpakstan. Conducted a comparative analysis of trends in the development of a number of industries in the regions of the Republic of Karakalpakstan. As a result of the analysis and conclusions presented evidence-based recommendations to improve the efficiency of internal factors of development by improving specialization of territorial and sectoral structure of industry in the regions.
