Priorities of state policy in the field of customs: a historical practice of border regions

The policy of modern Russia is formed by providing the public authorities the powers in relevant fields. Therefore, a retrospective analysis and study of the role of Customs authorities in the implementation of tasks and functions of the state is one of the most important aspects in the formation of political and legal foundation of the state system in Russia However, the complex and sometimes contradictory management processes need to be analyzed in the context of the formation of the Russian state. The article presents the characteristic of the Customs authorities activities in the territory of historical Transbaikalia, from the point of view of their implementation of the main priorities of the Customs policy in the border region. It is noted that the study of the Customs authorities activities in the history of the Russian state is of great value and allows to fill the gaps in the science.
