The priorities of Russia's national security in the Greater Middle East

The article attempts to identify and analyze some of the most significant priorities of the national security of the Russian Federation in the Greater Middle East. Among these priorities, the author focuses his attention on Russia's desire to restore those positions, which were lost after the collapse of the USSR in this complex and conflictogenic region. A significant place is given to Russia's struggle against international terrorism, the culmination of which was the participation of the military space forces of Russia in the Syrian conflict. The author gives an analysis of Russia's policy towards the leading countries of the region from the point of view of their importance for ensuring national security of the country.
