State development priorities and national interests in the context of rural development

The author examines the Russia's agricultural sector state, and agricultural policy maintaining by the government, which does not fully meet modern economic and political realities. The absence of clear theoretically substantiated development programs in rural areas poses a real threat to the food component in national security and requires the transformation of the government agricultural policy.
