Nature and specifics of services

The article reviews specific features of the service industry in the socioeconomic life of a society. From the theoretic and methodological perspective the author considers the role and the nature of services. The correlation between the service sector and the manufacturing sector is discussed. The criteria of interdependence of service and manufacture are defined. The paper substantiates the conversion of the population employment ratio for benefit of the service industry enterprises.
