Natural heritage of the Buryat section of the Baikal-Amur Railway: history and current state

The article informs about the natural heritage of the Baikal-Amur Railway, namely its Buryat section, which encompasses eight settlements: Severobaikalsk, Nizhneangarsk, Kichera, Angoya, Novyi Uoyan, Yanchukan, Severomuisk, and Taksimo. It is the Buryat section of the Baikal-Amur Railway that lies in the northern part of the Baikal region and is extremely rich in natural resources as it stretches through impassable mountains and taiga. The authors pay special attention to systematization and description of the natural heritage objects and make an attempt to study their current state.
