Russia’s presence in Latin America: Rosatom projects

The article is devoted to the analysis of Russia's presence in Latin America on the example of Rosatom State Corporation projects. The authors explore the history of cooperation between the USSR and Latin American countries in the field of nuclear energy, examine Rosatom's interests in the region and describe specific projects in different countries: from the first center for nuclear research and technology in Bolivia to cooperation in the field of nuclear medicine and enriched uranium in Brazil. The work analyzes the reasons for the failure of the construction of the 6th nuclear power unit in Argentina and highlights the prospects for the development of cooperation between Russia and Latin American countries in the future.
