This article examines the role and place of peasant homesteads in the post-war agrarian economics of Stalin’s Russia, reveals the main reasons for the agrarian sector crisis. The article represents the main mistakes of Stalinist agricultural policy in relation to the peasant homesteads. The authors conclude that it is necessary to stimulate the high-efficient agricultural labour by all means, otherwise negative social and economic consequences are inevitable. The restrictive measures against individual peasant homesteads led to their number reducing and destroying the life of many people, as well as contributed to the crisis exacerbation of the post-war Russian agrarian sector.
