The division of the world economy into spheres of economic activity and the determination of the main economic interconnections between them allows not only to analyze the development trends of individual countries, but also to compare them among themselves. There are approximately 200 countries in the world that differ in the level of economic development. To study the relationship between the individual categories of countries with different levels of economic development is extremely important for the global economy. The poverty of individual states is far from a new problem in the world economy, but it is substantial and acute. This article addresses the issues of poverty in a single country as an example, in order to illustrate the impact of poverty of individual countries on the world economy. For the world economy, such problems as the poverty of individual states both in terms of not using the potential for international cooperation and the elimination of specific countries from a number of international relations (for example, the division of labor and trade) are significant.
