The issue of prices and wages in the social-economic development of the USA in 1945-1946(on the basis of analysis of the R. Nathan report)

The article is devoted to the investigation of the causes of the reduction of the living standards of the working people in the U.S.A. in 1945-1946 and to the analysis of the ways of solving this problem. The author shows that the aspiration of american business to shift off the main burden of the reconversion problems on labor unions led to the decline in wages and consequently made trade unions actively uphold the interests of the workers in the U. S. A.
