The article defines Homo Politicus as a key category in the political socialization theory. The author considers interpretation of the Homo Politicus as a historically developed personality type to be the most relevant to the theory of political socialization. This interpretation demands reorientation of the political socialization research from the narrow sociological approach to the historical one.
