The problem of the reader’s role in the interpretation of literary texts (on the example of historical detective series “Cagulary”)

The article discusses the works of E. Kurganov within the context of the problem of the reader’s perception. In the light of the postmodern concept of literature historical detectives of Kurganov E. enable one to look at the author – reader relations problem at a new qualitative level. The polyphonic bias of the author puts him on the par with the reader giving equal opportunities for participation in the investigation of historical mysteries and puzzles. Close attention to scarcely known thrilling events allow E. Kurganov to reconstruct history on the basis of fictional documents, which are based on facts.
