The article examines different options of changing the traditional dating of the Centuriate reform of Servius Tullius and analyzes the attempts to date it to 5-4 centuries BC. The paper considers the theories of A.I. Nemirovsky, Tokmakov V.N., Dyakov V.N. and other researchers regarding the stages of social conflicts in the Ancient Rome and the campaign of Fabius family against Etruscan city Veii in 477. The author comes to the conclusion that the most likely time of implementation of the reform is the period of reigning of Servius Tullius - the VI century BC. However, it is quite possible that Servius Tullius had only started the process of reformation, but the Centuriate system in the form described by ancient sources was a result of long development.
