Problem of spiritual development in modern Russia

The article interprets the phenomenon of spirituality, identifies the factors that contribute to its formation. These factors include socio-economic conditions of personal development, ideology of the State expressed through the media and laws, the system of education, religion, family relations and individual improvement. Revealing the ways of spiritual development we come to the rather discouraging conclusion that the state has withdrawn from solving this problem, religion is not able to cope with it and school education too. Family remains the only institution that can improve the current situation in spiritual development in modern Russia. In these conditions, a great responsibility lies with the person who should make an independent choice and realize his need for spirituality.
