The Problem of Forming the Political Institution of Monarchy in Ancient Israel (according to Modern Foreign Historiography) The article represents one of the possible variants of accepting creatively the achievements of Western Biblical Studies by exemplifying the critical analysis of the main contemporary trends in the study of St. Paul's epistles. It considers the key issues and problems of studying the legacy of the gentiles' apostle at the present stage, and outlines the basic contours of the future development of the methodological paradigms of national Orthodox Biblical Studies.
