The problem of the use of reinforced concrete in the 21st century

This article superficially highlights the problem of using reinforced concrete in the 21st century. By itself, concrete is a very durable building material. The magnificent Pantheon in Rome, the world's largest unreinforced concrete dome, is in excellent condition after nearly 1900 years. Nevertheless, many concrete structures of the last century - bridges, roads, and buildings - are crumbling. Many concrete structures built in this century will be obsolete until its completion.
