Problems of ethnic and religious conflicts in modern Russia

The article is devoted to the current issue of ethnic and religious conflicts by the example of migrant workers. The article defines the terms migrant workers, conflict, ethnic and religious conflict. The national composition of migrant workers who come to Russia to work is analyzed. The causes of religious and ethnic conflicts among Russian citizens and migrant workers are analyzed. At the end of the article, some possible solutions to the described conflicts are given. According to the results of the observation, studies of various literary sources, one of the causes of interethnic conflicts in the article was named: the reluctance of migrant workers gets acquainted with the culture of the country in which they fall, as well as the low social status of migrant workers, lack of knowledge of the Russian language, interaction only with the community of their compatriots. The problem of illegal migration, which increases the crime rate, is emphasized. As a solution to these conflicts, tight control over illegal migration, adaptation of migrants to the culture of the peoples of the Russian Federation, and an increase in wages in low-paid jobs are proposed.
