The article considers the content of educational activities of preschool institutions, offers a theoretical analysis of the concept of “the education” as a multiple-aspect phenomenon and describes the main features of the current system of the preschool education system, reveals the factors determining the quality and presents an empirical study of the level of mastering in the main fields of educational program by children.
