Problem of place and role of family in social contexts of individuality

The article analyzes the range of approaches to determining the significance of family in the life of a person. The significance of a family is determined by specific examples from the history of society, from mass surveys and theoretical views of the experts in Humanities. The research shows family issues from different points of view: family as a social Institute; family as a group implementing its functions both towards society and towards an individuality; family as a group of personal fulfilment.
