The problem of negativity of the absolute in Hegel's philosophy

The paper analyzes the fundamental principles of the dialectic of Hegel's system, points to the pivotal category of negation. The idea of individual identity is achievable, provided understanding of the Absolute as a negative or internal division, determining the dialectical process of becoming. The ambiguity of the problem opens the possibility of double interpretation of Hegel's system of representatives of the neo-Hegelianism of the twentieth century.
