The article is devoted to one of the most urgent problems of criminal proceedings — the protection of the rights and legitimate interests of victims. In this article, the author analyzes the criminal procedure legislation in the field of compensation for damage caused as a result of criminal law conflict. The author proposed to give the investigator the authority to seize the property.
