The problem of social progress

The article is devoted to the question concerning problems of social progress. This topic is analyzed on the example of the views of such philosophers and scientists as Proudhon, Jean-Jacques Rousseau, P. L. Lavrov, N. P. Tkachev. Also discusses the progress of the science and philosophy of materialism. The author comes to the conclusion that when you see such a question as the problem of social progress, it is important to consider not only a set of historically data, but also the spiritual, physical, psychological development of the person.
