The article is concerned with problems of ontology of various Antiquity thinkers prior Socrates that include different schools: the Milesian, the Pythagorean, the Heraklith, and the Eleatic School. All representatives of these schools primarily attempted to look for substance, where was created the surrounding world, and tried to explain the edicts of Nature. According to ancient thinkers, the basis of ontology is something multiple and aggregating that unites all these subjects.
