The Problem of Legal Capacity of Artificial Intelligence in the Legal System of the State

The development of artificial intelligence technologies poses new challenges to the legal system, one of which is the issue of its legal capacity. The article analyzes the main aspects of the legal capacity of AI, including its ability to perform legally significant actions and bear responsibility for their consequences. The author considers various approaches to solving this problem, including legal and ethical aspects paying a particular attention to the prospects for recognizing AI as a subject of law and the possible consequences of such recognition for the legal system and society as a whole.
