The problem of the origins of power in P. Kropotkin's ethics

Бесплатный доступ

The article deals with the issue of the emergence of such phenomena as power, aspiration for power and, as a consequence, exploitation in the ethics of Petr Kropotkin. Kropotkin's ethical system deduce morality and altruism from the laws of nature itself: he concludes that the species most actively practicing mutual aid turn out to be the most adapted toward the surrounding environment. Nonetheless, the anarchistic philosopher fails to explain what makes possible the situations when a man - the most perfect of nature's creations - immerses into egoism and the desire for power over other people.
