Nowadays the regional study becomes an integral science that requires forming theoretic and methodological conceptions of categorical system. It follows that the author examines basic items of modern regionalogic (region, regional culture, regional self consciousness, regional self-identity) and now their meanings analyze in different research concepts. Therefore the item of regional mentality as a fundamental category of regional science.
