Problem of cultural landscapes of historical rural settlements of the Russian north preservation

The Russian North is investigated as specific cultural space. Peculiarities of the rural landscapes by the example of Cherevkovo - a traditional trade Dvina settlement - are brought to light. The heritage of the Russian North in the form of historical rural settlements is treated as a chance for the development of the territory and the moral center of the cultural space of the region.
