The article deals with the definition of the role of a language in the perception of a reality, the existence of language guidelines determining a mode, a form, and a focus of the cognition. The author develops a conception of guidelines of Dmitry Uznadze. The scientific relevance of the research is an application of the theory of guidelines for resolution of tasks of the analytic philosophy and the philosophy of language.
