The problem of the correlation of national and political interest

The article deals with the problem of the correlation of national and political interest in society, reveals the role of this ratio in motivated social activity. The paper clarifies the content of the concept of "national interest", considers the difference between "political interest" and other social interests. The author comes to the conclusion about the need for a categorical understanding of such concepts as "national interest" and "political interest", about the need for an integrated approach and an interdisciplinary analysis. The concepts of "national interest", "political interest", the problem of the correlation of national and political interest in the public consciousness has a significant heuristic potential for the social and humanitarian sciences.
