In the semiotics of Byzantium Temple ritual main music signs can be distinguished as connected with service singing, and subordinate sings as connected with bell-ringing. Music sing is integral to semantic system of Byzantium temple. Music signs perform aesthetical, ethical and ritual functions. Icon dominates the nonverbal system of signs, the so called visual theology prescribes the pre-eminence of vision in church.
