The problem-thematic features of social media projects in the Chelyabinsk region

This article studies socially oriented media projects implemented in the social media of the Chelyabinsk region. Social media projects are a type of unique journalistic content, using social media platforms and are relevant because they aim at solving socially significant problems. The article studies the problem-thematic features of these projects in the Chelyabinsk region in the period from 2021 to 2023. The specifics of the projects were identified on the basis of the nature of the social problems they addressed, their goals, and the thematic originality of materials. The results established that all the projects are aimed at solving socially significant problems or providing information about them, are characterized by the relevance of the themes, and have a specifically designated goal, which was ultimately achieved. The analysis showed they all were implemented with the involvement of social media audiences, making it possible to classify the projects as communication tools used by editorial teams in social interaction.
