Problematic field of research of the phenomenon of professional adaptation of officers to service activities in extreme situations

The relevance of the study is determined by modern military-professional realities, trends and high intensity of development of service activities of officer cadres, an increase in the number of extreme situations arising in its functional space, requiring the officer to be ready for prompt adaptation to the conditions of the service and combat environment. An analysis of scientific works of domestic researchers is carried out, reflecting the essential aspects of the concepts of “professional adaptation of an officer”, “extremity”, “extreme situation”. The content and structure of an officer’s readiness for professional adaptation in extreme situations of service activity are determined. Based on the results of the study, it was established that an officer’s readiness for professional adaptation in extreme situations is one of his priority personal qualities, the formation of which in the modern military-professional environment is an important factor in ensuring the effectiveness of the adaptation process in extreme conditions and predetermines the personal and professional reliability of a military specialist.
