Problematic aspects of intellectual property rights protection for musical works in the internet space

The article is devoted to the actual problem of intellectual property rights protection for musical works in the Internet information and communication network. The Internet is the main source of intellectual property distribution; however, this method is sometimes illegal since it is possible to distribute and post works of intellectual activity without the permission of the copyright holder. The article analyzes in detail the problematic aspects in the field of intellectual rights on the example of the protection of intellectual rights to musical works, identifies ways to solve the identified problems. As a result, the author concludes that it is necessary to change the current legislation and improve protection mechanisms.
