Problematic issues of the status of the suspected in the criminal process

The article is devoted to the problematic issues associated with determining the procedural status of such a participant in criminal proceedings as a suspect, revealing the problematic aspects of the detention of a suspect in the criminal proceedings of Russia. The author justifies the existence in the Russian criminal procedure legislation of a number of contradictions in the norms regulating these issues.
