The paper considers the current problems of professional adaptation of young teachers starting their professional career in schools, educational institutions of secondary vocational education and educational institutions of higher education. According to the results of the study, it was revealed that these problems are caused by difficulties caused by the specifics of work in the field of education in general and in the conditions of modern education, in particular. The negative factors affecting the professional adaptation of young teachers are highlighted. The features of professional adaptation in the conditions of the need to carry out and implement distance learning are analyzed. Using the example of the electronic information and educational environment of Omsk State Pedagogical University, the ways of implementing distance learning and methodological support for young teachers in the process of their application are demonstrated. The authors offer recommendations for the most successful adaptation of teachers in the workplace. The Mckinsey 7S human resource management model is presented in relation to the education industry. The system of adaptation for young professionals in schools, colleges and institutions of higher professional education is described. The importance of methodological and organizational support of young specialists-teachers from the administration of the educational institution for the most effective adaptation is demonstrated.
