Problems of formation of the secular education system in Dagestan in the second half of the XIX century

The article analyzes the process of formation of the secular education system in Dagestan during the integration of the region into the socio-economic, cultural and legal field of the Russian Empire. The relevance of the article is determined by the identification of problems of this process related to both central financing and traditions, mentality, culture of the local population. The comparative-historical method is used.
