Problems of cities of developed countries in the global context

The problems of urban development in a global context are often understood rather narrowly: first of all such thing as informal settlements (or slums) in poor countries come to mind. However, this phenomenon is much more complex. Many do not realize the fact that developed countries also have urban development problems. The article briefly examines the main features of cities in developed countries, as well as their problems in the global context.
