Problems and paradoxes of employment of students in the assessments of employers (based on the results of a sociological study)

The article is based on the data of the monitoring interregional sociological survey «Contradictions and Paradoxes of Student Youth Socialization in Conditions of the Modern Russian Society Transitivity», conducted in 2016 by the Center for Social and Political Studies of SFU. It gives an assessment of employers' perception of competitiveness factors of university graduates, employers' opinion on professional and personal qualities of graduates, as well as preferences of employers in the process of young specialists recruiting. The specificity of such category of labor as young professionals affects the ways and methods of attracting, recruiting and working with them, as well as of working with the source of their formation - educational institutions, including universities. However, modern companies still do not widely use integrated, targeted and systematic strategies for recruiting young professionals, which indicates a decrease in the interaction of universities and companies in this direction. The article concludes that for employers it is necessary to pay attention to the growing importance of the factors associated with the formation and accumulation of knowledge obtained in the process of training in the university, and personal knowledge, which probably can be obtained through internships, production practices, the combination of study and work.
